Every year after the ENEM exam, thousands of students access Descomplica’s Gabarito to estimate their scores. With a 99% accuracy rate, it has become an essential organic product for students and one of the most visited on the company.
We dove into the product to explore what we could improve for 2023 and what usability enhancements needed to be made.

Insights

We kicked off the discovery phase by analyzing user flows, heatmaps, and speaking with a few students. I also conducted an end-to-end review of the entire experience. With the data in hand, I presented the findings to stakeholders to iniciate prototyping and validated ideas with the team. The first step was giving the landing page a facelift. After that, we implemented usability improvements across the entire product.

Growth marketing

Within the Growth team, we ran a few experiments aimed at increasing the flow of new users.
One successful test was the launch of a Member Get Member initiative.
After users saw value in the product, they could easily share Gabarito with friends at the end of the flow.

Results

With simple improvements, we had a high impact:

- New landing page: Our conversion increased by 15% after a design facelift and content improvements.

- Member Get Member: By including an easy way to share the tool, we increased our landing page by 39,000 new unique users just 1 day after launch.
